Cinzia Battistel born in Milan – Italy – 1963
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
Having moved from Milan to a hilltop in the Marche countryside, she developed her passion for landscapes, a theme already present in her work as Head Production Designer for major Italian animated films and as a nature illustrator.
Since 2010, she has painted interpretations of landscapes using watercolor, ink, and acrylic gouache on canvas or paper.
Highly regarded in the United States, she was selected for the View New Wave Exhibit in 2024.

She teaches production design and landscape design for animated film at the Milan Film School. An author and illustrator, she has worked for Italian and international publishers for 30 years, creating art books for children for Sole24cultura, the Mudec Museum, and Gallerie D’Italia; her latest work is on Rembrandt for the US, and a graphic novel for Corriere della Sera’s ‘La Lettura’.
