Elvira Sirio was born in Reggio Calabria in 1954. With a degree in mathematics, she was first a teacher and then a school director. She has been passionate about art since she was a girl, she follows studies that apparently distance her from this world, until she finally decides to fully embrace her passion for it. You attended Maestro Paolo Raffa’s “Libera Accademia” in his city for many years and at the same time courses and masters in various locations in Italy. Her meeting with the master Roberto Ferri was fundamental, as he brought her closer to a painting that she had always aspired to. She then became passionate about sculpture following the master Mohammad Sazesh in his studio in Carrara. She finally perfected herself at the Academy of Art in Florence. In 2019 she signed in Rome together with 12 other artists of the Manifesto of Effettismo, a pictorial movement founded by the master Franco Fragale. In 2020 she joined the International Academy of Modern Art in Rome. She is a multifaceted artist, never conventional or repetitive, she refuses any predefined scheme, casually ranging from classical figurative to modern, from abstract to informal, from symbolism to conceptual. Her works include sculptures, engravings, paintings, ceramics.
