Hans van Horck – 1952 Netherlands
He is a sculptor, lithographer, painter, and Dutch artist active in Amersfoort.
Hans van Horck’s paintings and sculptures draw inspiration from European, Asian, African, and North American mythology. His works exhibit a high degree of abstraction, but are rarely completely abstract. His works often incorporate symbols from ancient cultures or figurative elements drawn from nature or architecture. Occasionally, the female nude also appears. Van Horck does not mind if his work is labeled as lyrical-abstract, abstract-figurative, or otherwise.
