{"id":727,"count":3,"description":"Giovanni Giancarlo Costanzo, born in Pescara, Italy, in 1949, is a multifaceted artist\u2014sculptor, painter, designer, and cultural promoter.\r\n\r\nHe began his artistic journey at the Liceo Artistico of Pescara in 1968, studying alongside his cousin, sculptor Ferdinando Gammelli, and the three key figures of the G3 group: Elio Di Blasio, Ettore Spalletti, and Franco Summa (1970).\r\n\r\nAs a painter, he has drawn the attention of numerous critics and art scholars, including:\r\nCarlo Fabrizio Carli, Floriano De Santi, Edoardo Di Mauro, Paolo D'Orazio, Enzo Fabiani, Leonardo Faccioli, Armando Ginesi, Gian Ruggero Manzoni, Vincenzo Mazzarella, Bianca Menna, Achille Pace, Antonio Picariello, Maria Cristina Ricciardi, Benito Sablone, Vittorio Sgarbi, Raffaella Soligo, Leo Strozzieri, and Duccio Trombadori.\r\n\r\nBeyond painting, Costanzo has always sought new artistic avenues, also working as a designer and creating stage designs for the Piccolo Teatro.\r\n\r\nTogether with artist Lucio Spiezia, he organized exhibitions in Pescara at Galleria Mode Art, in Campania at Galleria Il Ponte in Nocera Inferiore, and at Villa Rufolo in Ravello (1997). He also founded the cultural association P.A.E. (Pescara Art Evolution), which includes a gallery space dedicated to exhibitions featuring both local contemporary artists and historical and international masters, including:\r\nPaolo D\u2019Orazio, Michele Cascella, Umberto Mastroianni, Lucio Spiezia, Elio Di Blasio, Giulia Napoleone, Franco Summa, and Mimmo Paladino.\r\n\r\nHe collaborated with Maestro Elio Di Blasio in several exhibitions, notably at Galleria Enrico Lombardi in Rome in 2003, and went on to organize events of international significance, often with a social purpose.\r\n\r\nAmong these, a solidarity exhibition for the Dayak people of Borneo, and in the same year, the traveling exhibition \"Eventi d\u2019Arte\", which concluded at Palazzo Valentini in Rome, dedicated to the theme of Universality.\r\n\r\nHe has contributed works to support \u201cStop Child Trafficking,\u201d an initiative of Yoko Ono\u2019s association, and organized the second edition (2009) of \u201cDialettiche in Campo\u201d in support of Rwanda, alongside Paul Rusesabagina.\r\n\r\nIn 2013, he curated a major charity exhibition at Palazzo della Provincia di Pescara, titled \u201cI nostri colori per...\u201d, benefiting the homeless through the On the Road ONLUS association.\r\n\r\nHe is also the creator and organizer of PescarArt (Biennale), an acclaimed visual arts award and exhibition featuring internationally renowned critics and the participation of great masters and contemporary artists.\r\n\r\nCurrently, in addition to continuing his own painting practice\u2014which includes the use of photography and installation\u2014Costanzo works as an art director and, in collaboration with Gian Ruggero Manzoni, curates solo exhibitions for major artists such as:\r\nMimmo Paladino, Matteo Basil\u00e9, Omar Galliani, Giulia Napoleone, Franco Mulas, and others.","link":"https:\/\/delauretisart.com\/en\/artist\/giancarlo-costanzo\/","name":"Giancarlo Costanzo","slug":"giancarlo-costanzo","taxonomy":"product_brand","parent":0,"meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/delauretisart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand\/727","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/delauretisart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/delauretisart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_brand"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/delauretisart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product?product_brand=727"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
