Eugenio Cerrato<\/strong> was born in Gravellona Toce (Italy) in 1947 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the age of six, he left his hometown with his family to settle permanently in Oleggio, where he still lives today. After graduating from high school, he began studying Political Science, which he later interrupted to assist his parents in their commercial business. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A careful reader of classical and contemporary texts and <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>profound connoisseur of Art History<\/span><\/span><\/span>, with the support of his uncommon manual skills, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Eugenio began his creative journey at a young age<\/span><\/span><\/span>, though for several years he avoided exhibiting his works in public.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Since the early 1990s, his exhibition calendar has become regular, counting to date <\/span><\/span><\/span>over 150 exhibitions, both solo and group shows, in Italy and<\/span><\/span><\/span> abroad<\/span><\/span><\/span>. In 1998 he purchased and renovated a small space, “<\/span><\/span><\/span>Eugenesi<\/span><\/span><\/span>“<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>, which for the past 25 years has been and still is his studio, exhibition space, and a place for conversation with visitors.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n

For years, Cerrato has been conducting a distinctive artistic research, aimed at giving a unique and personal imprint to his works, always pervaded by<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/strong>refined<\/span><\/span><\/span> psychological textures, subtle irony, and formal decontextualizations<\/span><\/span><\/span>in which ancient and modern literary references flow.
