Jos\u00e8 Guevara<\/span><\/span> Born in Puebla De Guzmar in 1928 and Passed away in Huelva – Spain in 2010<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Huelva, he began his career with figurative outcomes in the oppressive climate of Francoist Spain. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Having emigrated to South America for political reasons, he had the opportunity to approach the pictorial avant-garde of the \u201cNew Art\u201d and \u201cNon-Figurative\u201d groups and, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in 1953, he discovered the technique of pigment combustion.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Starting in 1958, he began exhibiting his works worldwide: France, United States, Australia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Germany, Netherlands, England, Luxembourg, Panama, Iceland, Italy, and Japan. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 1962, he participated in the 26th Venice Biennale as well as the Biennales of Paris, S\u00e3o Paulo, Alexandria, and various annual intercontinental exhibitions. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the late ’70s, Jos\u00e8 Guevara moved to Italy, where he was nicknamed the “Red Guevarino” due to the predominant color in his canvases.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
