His works are both precise and intentionally messy, creating a unique style. His first exhibition dates back to 1983, and by 1985 he was showing at Ronald Feldman\u2014then the most important gallery in NY\u2014followed by Carnegie Hall in 1991 and prestigious US galleries until 2000.  In 2002, he had his first European exhibition, followed by a long series of prestigious shows worldwide. Paul is also a well-known musician; he <strong>co-founded<\/strong> several bands, including <strong>Youth Gone Mad (1981)<\/strong>, <strong>White Zombie (1984)<\/strong>, and  <strong>Psychotica. In 2002 <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Kostabi is also known for having given the title to the legendary painting \u201cUse Your Illusion\u201d created with his brother Mark, a work that gave the title to the famous Guns \u201cN&#8217; Roses albums vol.1 and 2. Later, Kostabi performed and recorded &#8220;Too Tough to Die Live&#8221; with Dee Dee Ramone, and also recorded with False Alarm and Hammerbrain. In 2006, he founded a recording studio in Piermont,    <strong> in New York State. Together with Dee Dee Ramone he produced a series of paintings exhibited in galleries around the world. <\/strong> In 2002 an LP on vinyl was published titled &#8220;Youth Gone Mad featuring Dee Dee Ramone&#8221;, produced by the independent record label trend is dead! records, with music by Kostabi and Dee Dee.
