Ernesto Treccani (1920–2009) was an Italian artist, writer, and political activist.
The son of Senator Giovanni Treccani—founder of the Treccani Institute—Ernesto is best known for founding the magazine Corrente in 1938, which became a cultural landmark for anti-fascist intellectuals and artists.
His painting explored a range of themes, from rural life to industrial urban landscapes, and was marked by an ongoing experimentation with new techniques and materials.
In 1978, he established the Corrente Foundation, continuing his commitment to artistic and intellectual freedom.
