Bonaschi (Milan – Italy 1959)
An artist with remarkable expressive impact, his background originates from the fashion world,
a communication professional who over the years has been absorbed by a related field, visual art.
In his works there “has always been the common thread of” pop influence,
of convergences with the life path of the greatest of all, Andy Warhol.
He frequented many of the Factory’s disciples in its later years,
but has always maintained a very close connection with his homeland.
Milan then led him to an uninterrupted exchange with the creative inspirations of fashion,
which was structured and established on the covers of international magazines during the same years as the explosion of Bonaschi’s artistic communicative message.
Another fundamental element of the artist’s work is writing,
already used by other illustrious Italian artists of the 20th century,
here it becomes the protagonist in its contemporary modulation,
that of the font, in its most technological form in the new millennium.
Bonaschi is very present in the elite of international collecting and at this time is dedicating himself to a widespread proposition of his message, which is indeed of pop origin.
